Registering a Property

How do I register a property?

Use the Register a Property form to provide the relevant property and contact information to MO&MA.
Register a Property

Who can register a property?

An estate or letting agent, property owner or landlord, or another authorised representative can provide property registration information.

Does registering a property automatically create a live online dashboard?

No. The current registration form collects the information required by MO&MA. Member dashboards and more advanced property views are part of the developing Property Support platform.

Reporting a Property Issue

How do I report a maintenance problem?

Use the dedicated Report a Property Issue form and provide the property details, a clear description of the problem, access information and useful photos where available.
Report a Property Issue

Do I need a Property Reference?

If you know the property reference, include it. If you do not, provide the property address and postcode so MO&MA has enough information to identify the property.

Can I upload photos?

The reporting form is designed to allow useful photos to be provided where supported. Photos can help MO&MA understand the maintenance issue before determining the next step.

Who can report an issue?

A tenant, agent, landlord, property owner or other relevant authorised person may provide information about a property maintenance issue.

After an Issue Is Reported

What happens after I submit a property issue?

MO&MA reviews the information provided and may contact the relevant parties if more information, access arrangements or approval are required before the appropriate maintenance response is coordinated.

Will I receive an appointment immediately?

No. Providing availability does not confirm an appointment. Access and scheduling are confirmed separately where required.

Does all work require landlord or agent approval?

Approval requirements depend on the property, the type of work and the arrangements in place with the relevant authorised party.

Can I track the job online?

Live job tracking and role-specific portal views are part of the developing Property Support platform and should not be considered fully operational unless MO&MA has specifically provided access to those features.

Urgent and Safety-Related Issues

What should I do if there is an immediate danger?

If you believe there is an immediate danger to people or property, prioritise your safety and contact the appropriate emergency service or responsible authority where necessary. You can also report the property issue to MO&MA with relevant information.

What if the issue is urgent but not an immediate emergency?

Clearly mark the issue as urgent when submitting the property issue report and provide enough information to explain the situation.

Access and Information

How is property access arranged?

Depending on the property and the maintenance issue, access may be coordinated with the tenant or occupant, agent, landlord or another authorised party.

Should I provide key-safe codes or alarm codes in the form?

No. Do not enter passwords, alarm codes, key-safe codes or other highly sensitive security information in general property support forms. Provide only the access information needed to help arrange the next step.

What personal information should I provide?

Provide only information relevant to identifying the property, communicating with the appropriate parties and understanding or coordinating the maintenance issue.

Property Records and Maintenance History

What is a property maintenance record?

The Property Support concept is designed to organise relevant maintenance information around a registered property, such as reported issues, completed work, reports and useful photos.

Can I currently see the complete property history online?

Not as a fully operational self-service feature at this stage. Clearer role-based property views and maintenance history are part of the developing Property Support platform.

Will old maintenance work automatically appear?

Do not assume historic work is automatically available. The information connected to a property will depend on the records held and how the Property Support platform is implemented.

QR Property Support

How will property QR codes work?

As the platform develops, registered properties are intended to support QR-based reporting so the correct property can be identified before an issue is submitted.

Are QR codes fully operational now?

QR-based property reporting is part of the developing Property Support experience and should not be presented as fully operational until implementation is complete.

For Agents, Owners and Tenants

Can an agent register multiple properties?

The Property Support model is being designed to support agents managing multiple properties. The current Register a Property form can be used to provide property information, while portfolio-level dashboards and account views are part of later platform development.

Can landlords use Property Support directly?

Yes. Landlords and property owners can use the current property registration and issue-reporting routes, while more advanced owner views are being developed.

Where should a tenant start?

Tenants can use the For Tenants information page to understand the reporting process and then use the dedicated Report a Property Issue form when maintenance needs to be reported.

Can tenants see landlord or agent information?

Tenant access should be limited to information relevant to their own property support journey. Role-based access and record-level permissions are part of the platform’s security implementation and are not to be assumed live until configured.
